i keep making history of first timer lately. last weekend i was watching football game for the first time at bukit jalil stadium. and now, last thursday, i’ve been travelling by driving my car alone to northern peninsular of malaysia and back home to kl in less than 27 hours. i am the very the proud of myself. damn!

here how the story begins;

i’ve received a special task from my deputy general manager. the mission is to pay and collect by hand a registration certificate from a government office in alor setar, kedah. how and when is depends on my decision to make. i choose a date: thursday 25 may 2006. how? for some reasons, i decide to go by bus. so, i bought one way ticket: puduraya, kuala lumpur to shahab perdana, alor setar kedah | transnasional ekspress | 11.00pm on wednesday night 24 may 2006.

24/05/06 10:00pm
one hour before the time above, i ask for a favour from my housemate, fitri anak karim, to send me to puduraya. 30 minutes after that, i hav splitted mind. how difficult it will be to move around in alor setar by public transport in that city. exactly at the time above, i told fitri that i will driving myself with my one and only, iswara V6 turbo. muahahahaha! i spent the next one hour watching CSI before i went to sleep…

…for 4 hours.

i woke up by hearing alarm from my precious motorola. take a bath, brush my teeth, pack-in my cloth and stuff in my bodyglove bag. by 3:30am, i’ve already heating up my car. so, hav begun my journey on that very early morning to a destination i vaguely decide in 1 minute mind changing. a quote from fitri, "betui la hang nih. mau nanti nk kawin tinggai lg sejam boleh plak kata x jadi ar." huhuhuuuhuuu…

me. driving. alone. on a quite highway. at 100 to 140 km/h. listening to hotfm. changing to linkin park cd series. hybrid theory. reanimation. meteora. live in texas. collision course…

my first stop, tapah R&R. just fuel up the car, and buy asam jambu and nescafe. second stop,
hentian sebelah bukit gantang - tropical fruit village. it was already 6.30am in the morning. the sun are showing some light through the foggy sky. very nice view at such a very nice place. hav my solat subuh, taking some pictures and i’m back on the road.
